Young Beginners and Adults

University studies have shown that learning music at an early age speeds up reading and mathematical skills at school as well as the child’s ability to focus. These children excel at spatial concepts, have good coordination and self-confidence. For children aged 3 onwards, we provide specialised training based on many methods, including Suzuki (using the “mother tongue” approach) and Kodaly. Parents and school teachers are finding that these early learners tend to concentrate for longer periods than students not exposed to this early music training. Our Director, Gloria, is highly trained to teach piano skills to children from 3 years and onwards. She often says “I absolutely LOVE teaching Pre-schoolers” . She is continually amazed at how much is being achieved with them in her studio ( even 3 year olds are improvising at the piano - and beginning to sight read music!) and how much they enjoy playing in our regular concerts. Gloria encourages all students, from pre-schoolers onwards, to make up their own tunes
